The History of Holland Farms
Bruce Holland (owner) started his farming adventure while in high school during the early 1970's. In the year 1985 he and wife Diane decided to diversify their farm by growing and selling produce and green peanuts. Most Holland Farm produce is grown on the land that has been in the family for over 100 years.
Not only is the land part of the family so are the employees. Bruce's brothers Charles and Melvin also help with the farm. Bruce and Diane's son B.J., who is now 20 years old, has been farming since age 12.
When you visit Holland Farms you can enjoy fresh boiled peanuts while you relax in a rocking chair on the front porch.
The Holland family was named Outstanding Farm Family in 1987. Today the family's operation has grown to about 600 acres and includes green, roasted, and boiled peanuts, watermelons, cantalopes, peas, butterbeans and sweet corn.
